Alexandre Bouglione is busy for the 40 years by creating his own circus shows and how! Yesterday I visited it for the first time in many years I saw the circus chapito at Flagey and was under the big positive impression from what I saw there! And Mr. Bouglione himself was not only present, but also was a master of ceremony, moderating each performance!

His is in fact the 6th generation of circus artists , The Bouglione Family, which had been a true international legend, traveling all over the world and working with such stars as Josephine Backer, Edit Piaf and Maria Callas! Also with different  animals, which is not the case anymore! But the fun of going to circus should be returned to all anyhow!  Yesterday the eyes of those children and grownups were telling me the same story!

The circus nowadays is still intriguing for all the ages without any imaginable differences! The artists from acrobats to clowns, from gymnasts to dancers are speaking the same “language of circus”, appealing to everyone and everybody! The show is very intriguing with many performances which looked dangerous, but to die for at the end! Literally and figuratively! The artists didn’t use any additional support systems! They performed honestly and purely as they were! Exciting!

I was watching a black and white short film in the lobby of the chapito, while the kinds and the parents were buying their colas and popcorns, about the Bouglione family and was flabbergasted how popular the circus was then! The best palaces were given to it! I believe we should reincarnate the overall culture of circus and promote the healthy artistic way that he artists show to all of us!

The artistic freedom of performances must be not forgotten and must be cherished! Also the international character of artists shouldn’t be forgotten! Yesterday I saw all the possible nationalities from Europe! They had given the colors and the flavors to the performances and made us as one family!

I had to pay a special attention to the colorful costumes and the decor from yesterday! Bravo and kudos to Alexandre Bouglione circus’s choreographers and scenographers! They brought me to my childhood memories and made me cry and laugh again, and loud!
Because the moments you share with the public gives you the sense of belonging to our common humanity without differences!

Tomorrow is the final and the last day of the performances and I look forward to visit Alexandre Bouglione circus at the end of this New Year at Place Flagey in Brussels again! Let us still believe in the magic of the circus!
